Comparative Rhone Wine Tasting

Big Sur Vineyards recently held a daring tasting event in which guests tasted her wines along-side the French Rhône counterparts that inspired them. Wine Educator Kerry Winslow curated the event, offering interesting and relevant details on terroir, climate and winemaking styles which further enhanced the comparison, and allowed the guests to better understand what the same varietal can produce in different locations, and from different winemakers.

Ashes to Objets d'Art

Clearing our land after the 2016 fire, we unearthed dozens of manzanita roots that we had planned to take to the dump. A local artist has crafted them into beautiful bowls that we are proud to have on display in our tasting room.
